I've been accepted to attend the East-West Centre Changing Faces Women's Leadership Seminar in Hawaii next month. Basically I have the opportunity to connect, contribute and collaborate with some badass wāhine from around te ao who are making positive change in their communities through social enterprise. Its a 12-day immersive programme satruated in innovation and entrepreneurship for wāhine from the Pacific, Asia and the United States. Each participant must take a project with them to work on. I'll be taking Kamp Kaitiaki, a kaupapa which aims to connect rangatahi wahine (between 11 - 16 years old) from rural Far North with what it means to be kaitiaki (guardians) of themselves, their whānau, peers, culture and environment. There are 5 'Kamps', each centred around the 5 areas to wellbeing and its pure magic.
I'm super excited to be a part of this but I need your help to make it happen. I'm fundraising purely for the cost of flights and my visa. Fortunately i've received a scholarship to cover the programme fee and accommodation. So please stand alongside me as we hustle to Hawaii.
