I don't know about you but i think "It's About Time" I get back into the studio and get some work done - get it! 'It's About Time'! Like my debut Ep! I actually considered naming my new release 'Long Time Coming' but i thought that might have been a bit much...

Hey! My name's Bronwyn and i'm a contemporary country singer/songwriter from Dunedin. Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my project!

I would say i've lost my mind trying to crowdfund so much but given i'm currently travelling around the country without a 'real' job (HI DAD!) and living in my car and on friends and strangers couches then i would say i lost it a while ago! :p

Plus one of the things i learnt from partially crowdfunding my last release is that if you try to keep costs down too much (forever an accountants daughter) the quality can be jeopradised in places and that's what i'm trying to avoid this time around.

ABOUT THE EP (& Tour)

For those of you who have been following my tour journey you'll know i met an amazing guitarist only a few days into my travels who does some producing work on the side. Sam Ross knows my sound almost better than i know it myself, he's already suggested a couple of changes to some of my songs (nothing too major don't worry - a key change here, a different chord there) and it's crazy how something so small can add so much to a song! This is before we even got into the studio! We had a bit of a play around at his studio when i was still in the central otago area and i definitely liked what i heard and i know you will too!

I named the tour after a song i wrote before i set out on the road. I knew i wanted to go and explore and play my music full time but making those first few phone calls to lock in the initiall gigs had me stuck. One day when i thought i was just procrastinating as usual i sat down and wrote the song 'Wish Me Luck' that some of you might have heard me play at my recent gigs and not long after i got of the couch and starting making some phone calls and the rest, as they say, is history! This song is going to be the title track of the EP. There will be 5 original tracks including 'Wish Me Luck' and one bonus track because i really like my song 'Someone Else You've Lost' and i know lots of you do too and i want to rerecord it so i can do it justice.

Any extra money raised will go towards promotion and music videos! Wouldn't that be exciting!?!

I have some deadlines in mind. I would love to be able to do a bit of a release tour on my way back home after travelling around the north island so my goal is early to mid August. I'm actually heading into the studio a few weeks from now and would hate to have to cut it short because i can't cover all the costs.

I've put together a great range of pledging options for you to have a look over and see if there's anything that takes your fancy! I've tried to keep the price of pledges down as much as i can as i know i am still starting out but we do have to reach the total goal for me to be able to access the money and make this happen so there's only so much i could do. I hope you understand!

WHO AM I?

I'm not gonna lie, i don't have a lot to my name being i'm still new to pursuing music as a career. My claim to fame is that i studied at MAINZ (Music and Audio Institute of NZ) in 2014. Since then I have written lots of songs, i recently made the leap to tour my music full time and am looking forward to sharing these songs with you and discover what else is to come.

I have one EP and it's not the greatest because i tried to cut corners financially which also involved rushing it a bit. It was greatly delayed due to the health issues (If you thought i was insane when i announced my crazy impromptu plan to tour then this will probably help you understand my all or nothing approach to life/touring) and even though i waited for the majority of the issues to pass i still wasn't in the greatest of spaces when i recorded it. Don't get me wrong, everyone who worked on it was amazing and people like it, it's a great starting place. It got me used to the recording and music release process and gave me a way to share my songwriting with people. But it's not a high enough quality to apply for professional music opportunities like festival performances and i know i can do so much better! It's been two years since i recorded it and i've been thinking about doing some more recording for a while but given i knew i'd have to crowdfund again i wanted to make sure there was a fair amount of time between asking and to make sure i was truly ready to put my best foot forward!

SO i'm pleased to say I AM READY!

I always second guess myself so the fact that i truly believe this is insane. It's amazing what gigging and busking on a regular basis, and being on tour can do to your ability and confidence. Not to sound like i'm getting a big head or anything but having strangers come up to me saying they like my music is one of the best feelings because not only is it nice to hear but most of the people who have said this in the past are friends or family who i've dragged along to gigs so they have to say it. If this is the proof that i'm not completely insane for trying to pursue this as a career then i'll take it!
