A Slick New Website For The Zero Carbon Act!

Project 2017-03-17 18:07:14 +1300

UPDATE: Thanks to all our wonderful pledges so far! We're so close to reaching our goal, and any extra funds raised will only help to make our campaign MORE AWESOME. We'll put the money towards t-shirts and other Zero Carbon Act merchandise, and on running events around the country. So if you haven't pledged yet - now is the time! Every bit helps :)

========

The climate crisis is growing more urgent by the day, yet our emissions continue to increase. We need a new law to put New Zealand on track to zero carbon by 2050: a Zero Carbon Act.

Generation Zero is a nationwide organisation of young people who advocate for a future beyond fossil fuels. The Zero Carbon Act campaign is our biggest, boldest national effort yet!

We've been drafting this law ourselves, with help from experts and collaborators, and we’re almost ready to share the blueprint with the world.

And now, we need a high quality website that can serve as the primary communication tool for the Act, as we work to build a public mandate for cross-party support.

We're working with NZ web design firm BlueTwist to build the site, but we don't have quite enough in our budget to cover the costs. Help us raise the extra funds needed to ensure we can share the Zero Carbon Act far and wide!

About the Zero Carbon Act:

This Act is inspired by the UK's 2008 Climate Change Act, but we've put a lot of consideration into New Zealand's distinctive issues, such as our high level of emissions from agriculture. We believe it's a proposal that all political parties can get behind.
