DESSEPTION

Project 2012-09-27 04:10:11 +1200

Introducing DESSEPTION Dance Crew. A dynamic group of young dancers from Norris Studios in Papakura. DESSEPTION are seeking pledges to enable them to compete at the World Supremacy Battlegrounds in Sydney Australia in early December 2012.

DESSEPTION formed at the beginning of August with one goal in mind, to compete at the NZ Battleground Hip Hop Competitions held in Hamilton on September 15. After five weeks of intense training for this dedicated group of 9 -12 year olds and their teacher Ashley, they performed and achieved an amazing fourth placing, battling it out amongst the best crews in New Zealand. This gives them the opportunity to represent New Zealand at the World Supremacy Battlegrounds.

The DESSEPTION Dance Crew consists of 6 children who have a passion for dance. Five fabulous girls, Ashleigh (12), Abbey (12), Sarah (12), Rylee,(9) and Briarna (9), and “the man” Logan (11). They are a very tight crew and have supported and encouraged each other through the unbelievable journey they have travelled so far. Always smiling, laughing and enjoying the incredible opportunity they know they have been given whilst putting in hours and hours of training. These children are an inspiration to all who have been lucky enough to share the adventure and witness their tenacity and determination.

The aim has now shifted and it is World Supremacy Battlegrounds Australia they are working towards. The training will continue to polish and improve what is already an amazing dance formed around the theme of Transformers. They hope you will come on board and help them reach their goal of not only representing themselves but Norris Studios, Papakura and New Zealand at the biggest Hip Hop competition in the southern Hemisphere.

To get the crew, teachers and parents to Sydney will cost in excess of $22,000.00 .  This includes airfares, accomodation, travel costs, costumes and entry fees to the competition.   Your generous pledges will be used towards subsidising airfares.

Thank you for taking the time to read about DESSEPTION and helping them to realise their dream.
