Li'l Chuck - NEW ALBUM - Utility Blues

Project 2016-11-04 15:57:09 +1300

Hi, I am Li’ Chuck The One Man Skiffle Machine from Christchurch, New Zealand.

I recently finished recording my second album UTILITY BLUES and I need your help to release it.

My request is pretty simple, I would love you to buy a copy in advance!

You can grab yourself a signed copy of the album, get your name in the liner notes, have me come play a house concert for friends and family or even come to my own home have a cuppa, home baking, a harmonica lesson and see my recording set up!

All rewards are to the right of the page

Your contribution will go towards:

Mixing | Mastering | Graphic Design | Pressing | PR | Marketing

Planned release date : March 2017

PledgeMe is an all or nothing crowdfunding site, so, if I don't reach the target goal of $8,000 I don't see a cent!

If you can contribute MARVELOUS, if not, I completely understand!

Sharing this campaign via social media + word of mouth will help make a huge difference!

Many thanks
Davey / Li'l Chuck

I am the real deal. I am not a novelty act or a flash in the pan. You won't find me on a bandwagon. My One man Band journey started in the late 1980's when I saw my first one man band busking on the streets of Manchester, England. The release of my first album (almost 25 years later) was met with such positive reviews that it gave me a massive boost of confidence and the drive to have a crack at a follow-up. Personally,  I am really chuffed with the result of UTILITY BLUES.

I have spent years working on my craft and the album is an absolute snapshot of where I am currently at - "what you see and hear is what you get". The album is 100% live with no overdubs, additional instruments or tweaks. Just me in the studio recording everything simultaneously, choosing the best 'takes' that I could capture. My personal pride is in my songwriting above anything else.

I am a multitasking man on multiple levels, I am a family man with very supportive children and a very supportive & patient wife... in addition to my music career, my other main gig is being Daddy Daycare to my 2 young girls.

In essence, being a one man band is not only about being the musician but being the songwriter, album engineer, website designer, marketing manager, shameless self-promoter, artistic director, social media guru, booking agent..... I am 100% self-managed! I have no funding or record company backing, all I want to do is make music for YOU -  the folks who want to listen.

Whoever invests in my album can have the nice warm fuzzy feeling that no corporates are gonna earn a penny from this, just me, Li'l old me, the Li'l old ( well, middle aged) one man band from Christchurch.

Oh did I forget to say it is 100% NZ too?

Recorded in Christchurch

Mixed in Lyttelton by Ben Edwards

Mastered in Christchurch

Cover designed in Christchurch

Album cover shot on The Port Hills

Pressed by Stebbing in Auckland

Thank you for taking the time to read about my campaign!

Thank you for your support and please do share with family and friends.

Your support is very much appreciated!
