About

The Wild Side: True Story Of Hope For Life After Addiction

Project 2016-08-23 11:59:12 +1200

People all around us are struggling with addiction, hopelessness and pain, and some are even giving up the fight. Help bring hope to those struggling to be set free from meth and alcohol addictions by helping print and market 'The Wild Side'.

This true story from the NZ underbelly is really helping people find hope and healing with Jesus Christ, but we need to take it to the next level... hardly anyone knows about it out in the real world. To get this book printed and distributed into secular bookstores nationwide, and also make the book available free or at low-cost to rehabs, detox's and prisons - we need your help!

This kick-ass modern day survival story was previously published under the title, Take a Walk on the Wild Side, and was a finalist in the Ashton Wylie Literary Awards in 2015.

I have funded it myself so far mostly (and with the help of a handful of sponsors from time to time) doing small print runs - giving many of the books away to needy people and selling the rest at wholesale to Christian stores, which barely covers costs. Take a Walk on the Wild Side is now out of print and is being replaced by the improved edition titled, The Wild Side, which has a new cover, larger text font, and a colour photo gallery.

To take it to the next level and bring hope to more people, I am printing 2000 copies ($7,235) - and employing a publicist (Lighthouse PR - $1,500) and distributor (Greene Phoenix Marketing) to supply these books to bookstores nationwide. Our publicist is booked to start promoting The Wild Side in February 2016 and we are preparing now to have stock in stores ready for when people see the promotions on TV and in the print media.

By contributing, you are helping to bring real hope to those who need it most. I take no share of any profit from book sales, but instead sows it back into printing more books and donating copies to prisons.

"A very raw and human story of redemption. A must-read for anyone caught in addiction and for those already healed. Very well written, wonderfully descriptive with a distinctive Kiwi toughness and humor." Keely Tapia (Amazon)

"This book has the power to change a generation with the anointing on it." Sally Strathdee (reader & pledger)
