Every child deserves to experience the unique freedom, independence and well being that only a bike can offer. Recall the joy of riding a new bicycle, and now picture a foster child having this magical experience - For every dollar donated we are one step closer to foster children have the fun, freedom and independence of a bike so that they can enjoy experiences with friends and families. By having this independence, children can start to learn new life skills and engage in fun summer and lunchtime activities with friends. Your donation can help make this a reality.
Our project as a group of 20 fifteen and sixteen year olds is to raise $550 in order to purchase bike kits and build them for three foster children who may not otherwise be given this opportunity.
Our campaign is run in support of Fostering Kids New Zealand. Fostering Kids NZ supports the families who have opened their homes to over 10,000 foster children across New Zealand. This support means that the foster children helps to ensure that foster children have stable and caring environment.

The amount of commitment and love that these parents welcome these children with is infinite - we believe that this should be celebrated and in order to show our appreciation and support we want to build a bike for the children of these families.

Hello, Everyone! Firstly we'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported us and donated to our campaign! It means a ton to us, and we hope you know that you've contributed to a great cause.
Since we have surpassed our original goal (thank you!) we have spoken to the organisers, and they have allowed us to fundraise for even more bikes! So, as one of our pledgers has commented, let's "Keep those wheels turning!"
Our new goal is to raise enough money for 5 bikes, in order to do this we'll need to raise approximately $920. We raised $765 in one week, and we still have one week left! So let's do it!
