Help Get The Collective Coworking Space Off The Ground
Project 2016-01-27 16:58:21 +1300
The Collective is a new coworking space opening up in Mt Eden, Auckland this February. It is located at 21 Shaddock Street, just 2 mins walk from Mt Eden train station and 15 minutes walk from Karangahape Road.
The Collective is a shared office space open to non-profits, start-ups, small business owners, entrepreneurs and freelancers with a social, creative, community or environmental focus. We recognise that often it is hardest for these individuals to afford to rent a desk near the CBD where the average rental is $600 per month and up.
We believe that cost should not be a barrier for participation for those who need it. We are for purpose, and not for profit. Our commitment is to keep costs as low as possible. A full-time desk at The Collective costs just $70/week or $280/month.
To launch this project, we are looking for start-up funding to help us get off the ground. Your contribution will help us cover the costs of set-up costs, desks and chairs. So if you're interested in helping get a community project off the ground, or wanting to pre-purchase a desk in the space, please contribute now.
Here are some photos of the space:
There is room for 15 desks in the space + a meeting room and kitchen. Rent includes WiFi, power, water, fairtrade tea and coffee. Confirmed in the space we have Ruby Haazen (environmental lawyer) and folks from Generation Zero, ActionStation, 350 Aotearoa. Edmund Rice are interested.
If you're interested in joining us, then pre-purchase a desk through here or visit www.21shaddockstreet.space to get in touch :)
Thanks so much for your support and interest!
