I have been offered a fellowship and am super excited to be going, but I need a little help to get there. With a 25% off scholorship I still need to cover fees and get a new passport. Fees cover things like food and transport whilst on the course, I have accomodation and flights sussed thanks to my beautiful family, now I need more people to help me achieve this amazing opportunity.
I will bring back more tools to help my community of Dunedin and New Zealand to grow a more sustainable fashion industry.
I'm excited about the future, will you help me make it amazing?
My background is in Zerowaste Textiles, I run my own zerowaste lifestyle label called Senorita AweSUMO and a non profit Just Atelier for community outreach and education around conscious consumption, textile waste, reuse and traditions of craft like Make, Mend and DO!
I graduated from Otago Polytechnic School of Design in 2011 with a Bachelor of Design in Fashion. I am currently studying a Grad. Dip in Sustainable Practice at Otago Polytech.

hi all as le title suggest, yes I am sorry i havent quiet got your pledge me reward to you yet, i have most things under way and half made, hooray but just finding not alot of time for sewing with a big project on the horizon. UNSTITCHED: Local Fashion Revolution a pop up space with Urban Dream Brokerage at 19 George St Dunedin April 18 - 24th, We have heaps of exciting things planned, afternoon workshops, machine maitenance evening with the Bernina Machine fixer, drop in space, Munch and Make lunchtime crafting sessions with yummy NOMs from the Revival Food Company, Our soft launch will me Monday 18th at 12pm, Please come along, I will be unveiling a youtube video I made at iD Dunedin Fashion Week asking people #whomadetheirclothes, Shhhhh though that's my BIG SECRET, noone knows I made it yet!!!! also I am happy to announce I am now the Local representative of the Fashion Revolution movement, another voluntary role I have picked up because of the work I do, and your helping me get to Melbourne has really cemented that and made me want to do MORE!!! so I shall, I am also finding someone to sew for me so your clothes actually get to you!!!
