Each pet, no matter how small, has its own character and individual qualities which is why we love them. From the scruffiest to the well groomed, they all show their personalities.

 The Peternally Yours Story

My last pet was a Budgie bird named "Muffin" who was a great companion for over 5 years. She would sit on my shoulder while I did my housework and never once did she poop on me. When "Muffin" passed away a couple of years ago, I couldn't find a suitable casket online so I ended up burying her in an old shoe box. I started thinking that there had to be a more dignified exit for our pets and so the idea for Peternally Yours was formulated. I envisioned a one stop online shop that offered suitable, affordable and dignified pet loss products that could be personalised and a memorial page so customers could pay tribute to their beloved pets.

 Who are We?

My name is Marilyn Rosser: I am originally from Canada and have lived in NZ for the past 11 years which makes me a Caniwian. I have been a pet lover all my life and a pet parent to all friends furry, feathery, and finny. I've had birds, cats, dogs, fish, hamsters, and horses but no reptiles as I am not overly fond of them. The highlight of my life so far was having the good fortune to swim with Moko the dolphin in Whakatane, NZ shortly before he passed away in 2010.

 The Product

The loss of a pet is an already stressful time which is compounded further when you receive your deceased pet from the vet in a blanket, towel or cardboard box. This undignified approach does not give pet owners any options to honour their pets passing with respect or compassion. Peternally Yours offers a unique and affordable alternative to wooden and cardboard caskets with the "Forever Pet Bed" pet burial or cremation bag.

We believe that pets are a treasured member of your family and deserve the same dignified and meaningful send off at the end of their lives as their human caregivers do. We understand the needs of grieving pet owners as we too have suffered pet loss and appreciate what they are going through.

 Our Vision

Our aim is to provide affordable and dignified containment to vet practices, pet stores and online. Our pets live relatively short lives and bereavement is an unavoidable reality for all pet lovers. The availability of the "Forever Pet Bed" in the market would allow pet parents and pet families to prepare in advance for a pets passing or to obtain a bag for immediate need from the vet.

So, what can you do to help?

We have exhausted our savings and support from family and friends to get a small amount of stock made by hand and a website developed. We are asking for your assistance to help us take the product to the broader market such as veterinary practices and pet stores.

How much do we need?

We want to do our part for the Kiwi economy by having all our products proudly MADE IN NEW ZEALAND. We are looking for $5,000 to purchase materials & packaging, outsource manufacturing, and cover advertising/marketing costs to generate pre-sales prior to production and of course cover the PledgeMe fees.

About Our Product

• The "Forever Pet Bed" is made of leak proof material so there is no worry about any staining on the inside of a vehicle during transport. It is zipped on 2 sides for ease of transfer.

• The bag has extra room for pet owners to include the pets collar, tags, blanket or favourite toy.Pet parents /families can write hearfelt messages directly on the bag to personalise it.

• The "Forever Pet Bed" is available in 5 sizes and is suitable for all pets from birds, cats, fish, hamsters, rabbits, reptiles and all dog breeds from the smallest to the largest.

• It's dignified transport for pet owners and vets alike. The pet isn't sent home for burial in a blanket or towel, and vet staff don't have to move the animal to a 2nd cremation vessel.

• The "Forever Pet Bed" uses less storage space than traditional wooden caskets and doesn't require assembly like cardboard caskets.

• When a pet family decide to move house they can take their beloved pet with them years after burial as the bag material does not biodegrade quickly.  (We are currently working on development of a biodegradeable bag).
