Update: HOLY MOLY
Thank you friends. Thank you so so much. We are so honoured and touched by your support and generosity.
Even though we've met our target, we haven't quite met our funding goals. The actual figure (as posted below) is $2300, and if you came here hoping to pledge, please know that your generosity will be appreciated as much as all the previous ones. Let's see how far past our target we can go!
Thank you thank you thank you

Introducing... Matt and Jen
Hello. We are Jen and Matt. We are improvisors - we perform, direct, teach, write about, and love improvised theatre. Between us we have over 30 years experience and way too many posts on our improv blogs.
Basically, we're massive improv nerds. And it seems we have an international reputation as such...
What we're up to
On a small island, off the coast of Mauritius, off the coast of Madagascar, off the coast of Africa, is a festival. It is an improv festival. It is called FERIIR - Le FEstival Rigolo et Internationale d'Improvisation de La Réunion.
Through the FERIIR, the festival created in 2012, the Ligue D'Improvisation Reunionnaise demonstrates its willingness and its capacity to receive international troupes to share improvisation in all its forms, with them, for and with the public of Reunion.
We are utterly delighted and honoured to announce that we have been invited to teach and perform at this far-flung festival, along with fellow Wellingtonite but recent emmigrant Christine Brooks, as our trio Moll Olio.
In order to get to this festival, we need to first fly ourselves to Perth. They'll be taking us the rest of the way. But getting to Perth isn't cheap, especially when we are taking two weeks off to embrace this opportunity.
Wait, where the heck is Reunion Island?
This is Reunion Island:
This is where it is:
Right?
RIGHT?
What we need and what we have to offer
Our flights to Perth and back total approx $2600 - we're funding that through this campaign, a wee fundraiser performance on Wednesday 18 November, and our own personal investment.
To thank you for your assistance in getting to Réunion, we have put together some lovely rewards, including delightful postcards, personalised art (here's some songs Jen did earlier and you can find some of Matt's art here), access to workshops upon our return, and tickets to our upcoming NZ Fringe Festival show Awkward Threesome. We are going to get so much out of this experience, and we want to come back and share what we've learned with our friends, family, and fellow improvisors: your support is so very valuable in allowing us to do that and we're so grateful you're even reading this far!
A little more about us...
JENNIFER O'SULLIVAN has been called "Wellington's most prolific improvisor", performing with PlayShop, WIT, and Definitely Not Witches. She is the director of the New Zealand Improvisation Trust and the New Zealand Improv Festival, has taught and performed internationally (Improvention, Melbourne Classic) and is an all-round rad babe. jenniferosullivan.com
MATT POWELL is a recent import to the Wellington improv scene, having performed with Christchurch's Court Jesters since 2002. He has been invited to teach and perform around New Zealand and Australia, including at the New Zealand Improv Festival and twice at Improvention in Canberra. His butt looks good in skinny jeans. fauxpar.se

Here it is - the longest ever thank you video.
Time moves slowly here, everything takes much longer than you expect. It's probably the heat? We presume.
So what we're saying is - watching this takes a while but each and every one of you is the best and we thank you so very much for your support.
Less typing! More watching! We are about to check out of our accom here and head to the airport (four hours in Mauritius and then PERTH) so bye bye bye thanks thanks thanks talk soon!
Love
JEN AND MATT xx
