I WISH I LEARNED

Project 2012-08-20 08:19:08 +1200

I WISH I LEARNED is an original musical by New Zealand born, international writer/composer Vicki Millar. The show will run at The Victoria Theatre, Devonport from Thursday 20th – Saturday 22nd September, with tickets available through www.iticket.co.nz

The team includes Matthew Grice as Director (URINETOWN, THREE SISTERS), Alexandra McKellar as Producer and Choreographer (URINETOWN, BAT BOY), Vicki Millar as Music Director (PRYDON PAIRS, THE CAUCASIAN CHALK CIRCLE), and Sarah Radford as Stage Manager (A THOUSAND HIILS, YOUNG AND HUNGRY).

PledgeMe is an opportunity for you to become a supporter of this exciting new musical, and to earn some fantastic rewards!

The Show

The good girl, the quiet boy, the cool kid and the princess meet as adults at their primary school reunion. Abigail now grapples with motherhood, Bryce's grown up world is collapsing, while Cody and Daveena fight over the choices that tore them apart. Can they reset their lives by going back to school?

A funny and touching musical which asks the question: What do we wish we’d learned in school?

The Cast

We are very excited to introduce to you our wonderful cast.

Soprano Shaan Antunovich was featured on TVNZ’s Stars In Their Eyes, and more recently has graduated with a BPA from NASDA. She now brings her beautiful voice and presence to the role of Daveena.

Scot Hall toured NZ this year as a guest artist with Operatunity’s Razzle Dazzle, and here creates the role of Bryce.

Vicki Millar herself plays the part of Abigail, having performed in both classic and self-penned musicals in Australia and the UK.

And Michael Murphy, runner up in the first NZ Idol competition, energises the stage as rock musician Cody.

The Pledge

To show your support for I WISH I LEARNED, take a look at the different pledging levels available. No matter how much you’d like to give, every contribution is important in bringing this new musical to the Auckland stage.

PledgeMe is constructed in such a way that if the target of $3000 is not reached, the production receives nothing, and your pledge amounts will not be taken from your account. So spread and word and help to get this show on the stage!

The Rewards

In appreciation for your donation, I WISH I LEARNED is offering various rewards. Go to the list on the right to see the categories that include signed posters, DVDs, show tickets and invitations to exclusive events!
