About

Flamingos, Dust, And Occasional Leopards

Project 2015-07-28 07:14:33 +1200

After a painful breakup Iris finds herself standing outside her mother’s doorway, her feet six inches deep in the Kenyan dust. A bra-less hippy version of her mum embraces her and so begins Iris’s adventure in Kenya…

Can Iris fix her broken relationship with her mum?
Can she mend her wounded heart?
Will an adventure in Kenya prove to be just what Iris needs, or will it prove to be all too much?

Hello! My name is Sarah Knipping and I am an indie author from Wellington, New Zealand. Flamingos, Dust, and Occasional Leopards is my debut novella. This novella has been in the works for years now and has finally materialised itself out of my fingertips into it's final form.

I am (almost) all set to enter the exciting world of the self-published author!  I've got my author platform (my website,my blog, my twitter, my Facebook page), I've got my amazing cover art,  I've got my book and it's (almost) all ready to go!

The plan is to publish Flamingos, Dust, and Occasional Leopards as both an ebook (through Amazon KDP) and a print book (through Createspace).

The final stage in releasing my book, and arguably the most important part, is the editing. This is where I need a little help. My editor is amazing and she is based in the US. I'm hoping to raise the funds to finance said editing.

Life has become a little complicated of late, and my plans for self-publishing got a little derailed. This is my attempt at taking hold of the reins once more, and making my dream come true. Flamingos, Dust, and Occasional Leopards is so important to me, and is the first in what I hope will be a long line of novels and novellas to come.

Thank you so much for you time.

Please feel free to take a look around my website to learn a little more about myself and my writing!
