Silsil Live Painting

"To me, "sensuality" means "vitality" and is not restricted to sexual notions, but includes the imagination and expectation of the unreal, as well as the special power and vivacity that life brings to us, touching our hearts. This is what try to embody when I do live painting."
The Silsil Live Painting project is about funding the travel expenses for this extraordinary Japanese artist to come out to New Zealand and perform several live painting shows. Silsil's live painting is a unique and innovative multi-media performance. Silsil performs live action painting, using brushes, sponges and even her hands on enormous canvases to the rhythm and sounds of live music. The shows will take place at the wonderful, historic Victoria Theatre in Devonport Auckland in late November.

"My emotions flow into each piece while I focus on the idea of giving birth to art. I put my heart into creating each work while exploring the world of deep female emotions through painting, poetry, performance, and other installations."
The result is a dazzling display of dance, music and painting. Silsil is a highly original, charismatic artist who would enlighten and entertain New Zealanders of all ages with her amazingly talented live art show. A 'must-see' for anyone interested in multi-media, performance art or the process of self expression through painting. Q & A session and auction of the art work after the (90min) show.
