Garden Rambles - the television garden show is our first born and best known broadcast product. Visit www.gardenrambles.co.nz
This hour long, magazine-style garden show, hosted and produced by celebrity personality and organics guru Michael Self, first saw the light of day in 2000 as part of a Taranaki Millennium Project; Television Taranaki, Taranaki’s own regional TV station. The show quickly became the top rater.
The show's content is far reaching and embraces any positive land use so good cooking, garden make overs, cottage industries, horticultural products, new plants and whacky ideas for making the most of what you have got are woven in. Machinery and gadgets that add to the joy of gardening; both old and brand new regularly feature. The practical aspects of the show involve genuine "dirt under your fingernails stuff" along with triumphs, disappointments and a good laugh along the way. The show featured a wide range of quirky, rugged and delightful characters from across New Zealand as we share their stories.
Since 2000 over 350 episodes of Garden Rambles have been produced and it has earnt a reputation as New Zealand's favourite heartland television show.
We are looking for funding for three episodes of the current series for Country99 TV. Our shows are a mixture of practical skills and stories. One of our special features of the 3 episodes will be stories of the land People and Places that have left their mark or making their mark.
