Real Art of Real People,

I'm known by a lot of names but most people call me Rif.
I'm a New Zealand artist and most of my work is painting portraits
but sometimes I'll do other things like sculpture.
I need your help, I want to paint a series of portraits across Australia, the US, and Europe,
New Zealanders are creative people, there is far more to us than Rugby, Hobbits and sheep, and I want to show our art and creativity to a bigger audience.
With this project I'll let people know about not just my art but also the art, talent and skill (toi) of New Zealanders.
I've already arranged who I'm going to paint but need your help to make it happen.
By helping me you will make it possible for me to paint the series of paintings and to show New Zealand art and artists to a much bigger audience.

A kiwi artist, I've been painting longer than I care to admit

Why do I paint people?:-

well quite simply because for me I cant think of anything more interesting,
we've all spent our lives looking at people, we all know how people look,
and I try to capture the variety of people, the multiple uniqueness of faces and people

What are my future plans?:-

More of the same, every time trying to be better than the last
a famous cello player was being interviewed because it was his 90th birthday
he was asked "why at 90 do you still practice every day?"
his reply "Because I think I'm making progress,"
so yeah I plan to keep trying to make each painting better than the last

What are my plans for the paintings from this project?:-

Once they all done, I'll show them, I've yet to confirm exactly where and when, since I cant be completely sure how long they'll take to finish, but as soon as I've confirmed the show, the first people I tell will all of you who help make the project possible.
