Bike Rave! 15 May 2015!
Following the insanely popular bike raves in Vancouver, the time is right for Auckland to have its very own bike rave. A bike rave is a simple concept.
Step 1: You pimp up your bicycle with as many lights as you can get your hands on.
Step 2: Get together with a bunch of people, and ride along the waterfront accompanied by some excellent, synchronised tunes.
Step 3: Have fun!
We have tested the concept, and the first unofficial bike rave was a smashing success. Now we want to take it to the next level by greatly improving the sound system. For this, we're going to need some help making sure all ears have equal access to sound, hence the reason for our campaign.
Speaker hire and added features will set us back at least $1000. With this we have quality sounds (and enough wattage!) for this event, and will ensure all have music to ride along to at all stages of the Rave.
ABOUT US:
We're a crew of Auckland people who love their bikes, and were inspired by all the cool bike shiz going on overseas, that we're missing out on here. Like Bike Raves. We had a highly successful Pilot Bike Rave earlier this year so we know what we are doing.
You can find us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bikeraveAKL
Don the fluro, leave fear of ultra brightness at home, and come join in the Bike Rave.
Thanks muchly for any kind dough towards this Rave :)
PS. All rewards are to be collected on the day of the rave, to minimise overhead/shipping costs. If you can't make it to the rave, rewards can be collected from the Auckland City Centre.
