LUCIEN: Excuse me, Pierre.

LUCIEN: Who is this Don Juan I have heard so much about?
PIERRE: (Shocked) You do not know of Don Juan?
LUCIEN: No.
PIERRE: I am shocked.
LUCIEN: Clearly.
PIERRE: Allow me to explain to you, Lucien… as well as to all these lovely people reading this PledgeMe Site: Don Juan is a fantastic experience, it is the new theatrical work from A Slightly Isolated Dog.
LUCIEN: I’ve heard of them, they are very good.
PIERRE: This is true, Phillipe, they are very good.
LUCIEN: I’ve heard they are one of Wellington’s most innovative and exciting companies. LUCIEN: Excuse me for interrupting, it was rude.
PIERRE: Not at all, but I will continue: Don Juan is, very literally, a party that tells a story. It’s a celebration of our freedom and that niggling, constant, inevitable feeling of never being free enough. It’s a celebration of our repression and our continual struggle to live boldly, without apology, guilt or letting our insecurities get in our way.
(Dramatic Pause and a bit of music)
Don Juan is a theatrical performance that tells the story of… DON JUAN. We follow this most notorious of scoundrels, the greatest of all lovers, the best and bravest fighter, the most luxuriant hedonist and the cruellest of men as he races to live the most exciting and audacious life possible. He is truly the most ruthless, self-serving, undeniably bold and impetuously vigorous man you will ever meet. He gets what he wants… he always gets what he wants…
LUCIEN: If only I could be like…
PIERRE: Well you must come to see this show at Circa Theatre from the 25th of April – the 23rd of May. http://circa.co.nz/site/Shows/Don-Juan It will be a sexy, fierce, raucous celebration with the energy of a music gig or a club… it’s a cabaret, it’s chaos, it’s a furious adrenalized romp through the games of attraction and sexuality… it’s the BEST…PARTY…EVER. And the bar keeps serving drinks. All night long.
LUCIEN: That sounds amazing Pierre!
PIERRE: It does, but unfortunately it may not happen?
LUCIEN: Why not?
PIERRE: Because they need money to buy materials for the Set, Costumes, Lighting, Props and Sound.
LUCIEN: Oh dear.
PIERRE: Yes.
LUCIEN: How does one help such a thing happen?

For any of the personalized storytelling rewards, we will tell a story about you/your loved one and Don Juan. The story can involve any of the following:

You attempt to seduce Don Juan and he accepts for a most passionate affair (and maybe you want more, but he is too elusive to ever hold onto)

You fight Don Juan in a duel after he seduces someone close to you

Or a completely personalised suggestion that you can pitch to us (this is dependent that it fits in with the rest of the work, but many things are possible)
