Help Me To Paddle At The U23 Worlds In Brazil!

My sport is Canoe Slalom which means I navigate a series of gates down a whitewater river. I am trying to compete in both C1 and K1. I need help to cover the costs of representing NZ at the U23 World Champs this year in Brazil. There are three women selected in the team and without me my teammates can't enter the C1 or K1 teams events. We were 3rd last year in Penrith in the C1W event and we want to improve that result this year.
At the moment I cant afford to accept my spot in the team. I have savings to go to the World Cups and World Champs in London later in the year, but this trip is a stretch too far.
We are all expected to raise the money (approx. $5500) to cover all our individual costs of the tour. As a group we have fundraised for the cost of managers and coaches.
Although an Olympic sport, Canoe Slalom is low on the radar of Sport NZ in terms of funding. The funding that we have received nationally is targeted at two athletes and does not filter down to the next tier.
I am committed to training hard and I will be trying my best to represent my country the best I can.
Hopefully I will make you feel good supporting me, especially if I fulfill my Olympic aspirations.
I would happily give regular updates and a postcards with some stunning action shots that may be useful to you to frame, use in reports or advertisements.
