Randa's New Music Video : You Could Be Our Lifeguard!

Candlelit Pictures and acclaimed directing duo THUNDERLIPS are teaming up with our favortite rapper, Randa, to create another majestic music video - and we need your help!

Randa - Frankenstein (Vimeo Staff Pick, nominated for 'Best Music Video' at the 2013 Vodafone NZ Music Awards)
This new one is for Randa's track 'Lifeguard'. We've got $6k from NZOA, and the directors (THUNDERLIPS) are putting $4k of their own cash towards the project - but we need more money to pull it off!
The concept is EPIC to say the least; 35mm film, cranes, HUGE lights, massive art department, great costumes, and more.....

This is a story of unrequited summer love. Think: glossy, sexy, and nostalgic.
Lifeguard is set in the opulent environs of a country-club-esque pool + restaurant, where wealthy parents deposit their teenagers for the summer months. Larz Randa works here, as a waiter / lifeguard, furnishing the rich teens with towels and orange juice, restocking the buffet - and watching Emma: a 16 year-old with doe-like eyes and daddy issues. This is the story of their romance. Following the lyrics of the song to the tee, we see the romance between Larz and Emma develop - however things take a dark turn when Emma rejects her would-be suitor. Larz' misguided attempts to win her over take us deeper into a macabre chlorine-soaked nightmare.

We've been in pre-production on this music video for a few weeks now, and we've had some wonderful sponsors come on board already - Karen Walker, Supreme Coffee, Park Road Post, FotoKem, and Metro Film to name a few! Despite all of these generous suppliers helping us out - the budget is currently $9k over what we've been allocated by NZOA, and because we believe this video is going to be AMAZING, and worth all the hard work and aroha that's gone in so far - we're forging ahead, and we're asking you guys to help us out!
We start shooting TOMORROW (Thursday 12th), and finish on Monday (16th) next week - so we'll be doing live video updates from the set over the next FIVE DAYS, and if we reach our target every single person who has pledged money will be invited to the cast and crew party on Monday night!
Please consider pledging towards this project - with your help we can make the BEST music video, and Randa can use it to take over the world!!!!
