Agency - A Comedy Series

Project 2015-01-12 10:03:18 +1300

The Talent:

“Agency” is is the latest creative endeavor in collaboration with Stem, an established video production company based in Wellington. Over recent years, Stem has accrued both a wealth of experience in the field and generous acclaim for their slick, evocative campaigns. Channelling our assorted skills into a project of this nature has always been the next step.

All of our creative talent have experience in marketing, film and theatre, making this project the ideal combination of our shared expertise and insights. We can guarantee that the series will look, sound and feel fantastic, whilst simultaneously striking all the key notes of our milieu.

Talent includes actors Ben Forman, Samantha Reed, Glen Puklowski and an assortment of diverse, gifted support, as well as an accomplished crew featuring writer-director Judah Finnigan, DOP Matt Henley and producer Olivia Shanks.

The Series:

“Agency” is a satirical comedy series based around the activities of a small creative marketing agency in Wellington, staffed by three hapless but genuine and enthusiastic marketing wannabes – the owner, the creative, and the account manager. The first season of our series will consist of six more episodes, running at approximately ten minutes each.

It is loosely based on challenges familiar to anyone whose professional life includes exposure to the marketing, branding and advertising industries. Viewers will enjoy seeing an intelligent parody of universal challenges that include harnessing creative personalities, managing difficult clients, approaching today’s highly competitive pitch environment, overcoming production disasters, and navigating an industry that from the outside might seem imaginative, glamorous and exciting - but can also be clumsy, mindless and absurd.

The video above is basically a proof of concept, intended as a taster of the production value and character dynamics to expect in future episodes. What lies in store for the rest of the season is about six times more spirited, awkward and outrageous and we can’t wait to bring it to you.

Our Goal:

We still need to raise $10k in order to complete production. That might sound like quite a bit, but it’s because we’re totally commited to making a product of quality, a standard of production value you wouldn’t normally associate with the web-series format. In order to do that, we want to work with the best equipment and crew available to us and doing so comes with costs. We are currently seeking corporate sponsorship, but it’d be amazing to see our future viewership engaged in the process too. Anything you could contribute would be hugely appreciated.
