My name is Marty Bryant and I am a singer songwriter from Wellington NZ.
First of all I would like to thank everyone for all the support you have given my musical endevaours over the last 12 months. My family my friends, all the supporters. It truely means the world to me.
The success of the first campaign led my music to places far beyond what I expected. Thanks to everyones generous pledges we managed to get two songs on rotation nationally (ZM, The Hits, and The Edge), two music videos funded by NZ on Air, and the four track EP The Heart of Katherine charting in the top half on the NZ top 40. This was a result far beyond my expectations. I am so thankful to everyone who made this possible. It was a big dream of mine to do something like this with my life.
I have learnt a huge amount over the last year, not just artistically and as a songwriter, but also from the perspective of how the music indusrty works. I want to use this experience to make my next project bigger better and more succesful.
I am currently putting together my next project and I need your help again. I am looking to fundraise 4,000 from the comunity as an initial contribution to a new four track EP for release end of 2015 early 2016. The music will have a fresh sound and I will be putting a marketing campaign together to give the release the best chance of succeeding. I intend to record some songs solo, and others with my friends Damon Jim and Dave, but all music will be released under the band name The Heart of Katherine.
This money raised will contribute to:
(a) Studio time - Development/Pre Production
(b) Studio time - Production
(c) Travel Costs and Accomodation
Please know that any small contribution goes a long way. It all adds up. In response to any pledges made I make the following promises back to you.
I promise to do everything I can within my power to make this project the best it can possibly be with the resources available.
I promise to use the industry contacts I have gained to work with the best musicians and producers available.
I promise to put my heart and soul creatively into this project.
On top of this I have included a few small rewards on the right hand collum for anyone who pledges.
