Thanks for checking out our PledgeMe campaign. Let us answer some of your pressing questions!

WHAT IS THIS BRILLIANT NEW SHOW EVERYONE'S BUZZING ABOUT?

Labyrinthine is a dark fairy tale for grown-ups; the world is surreal and surprising, poetic and playful. Think of a dark Alice in Wonderland and the beloved classic film The Dark Crystal

Our company includes award-winning, critically-acclaimed, highly talented performing arts trained professionals in hot demand. We aim to create new, unique, and innovative ways of experiencing live theatre. Our award-winning Fringe 2014 production, Traces. Ghosts From the Archives enjoyed a sell out season with waiting lists. We are really excited to bring this fresh, ambitious theatre work, Labyrinthine, to the Fringe Festival 2015!

WOW, IT SOUNDS AMAZING! TELL ME MORE...

With Labyrinthine the audience will experience something fresh and unexpected from a traditional theatre environment. In this ambitious promenade performance, the audience will wear masks so they remain anonymous voyeurs as they traverse the maze-like environment. An exciting, immersive experience, Labyrinthine will bring the world alive for the audience in a sensorial way: smell the forest, taste the delicious baking, feel a curious mist on your skin... Wander through mysterious forests, surreal waiting rooms, and a crochet-and-knitted world of syrupy-sweet grandmotherly affection – or is it…?

Elements of physical theatre, dance, song, and mask will be fused within strong actor's performances, projection animation, and original soundscapes, to create a non-traditional, highly satisfying, and deeply engaging theatrical experience.

WHY DO YOU NEED MY HELP?

We need your PledgeMe support to help us secure and set dress a venue suitable for the world of Labyrinthine. And for some of the expenses of making the costumes. And the many, many masks. This is an ambitious task, but our team are full of passion, talent, and enthusiasm to make this a show to remember!

At the moment we can afford to dress one of our 16 performers. So the rest will be kinda exposed, and this ain't *that* sort of "adult's fairytale"...

We also need money for hiring speakers and lighting. So you can hear the incredible sound scape created by acclaimed composer Ryan Smith, and see the world (and hopefully fully costumed performers) by the highly talented Rachel Hilliar, Jonathan Kingston-Smith, and Louise Macpherson, lit by the clever Jason Longstaff.

This PledgeMe campaign will help us cover our basic costs. If we raise more than the amount we're asking, we will be able to afford more technological equipment and design elements to help make this ambitious production even more incredible than our wildest dreams.

LABYRINTHINE
Get lost on a dark, magical adventure...
20 FEBRUARY - 13MARCH   |   FRINGE FESTIVAL 2015

We're underway!

12/01/2015 at 4:20 PM

We had our first music rehearsal yesterday - and maaaaaaan was it incredible. Our brilliant composer, Ryan Smith, has created an amazing soundscape for the world. Hazel, Jess, and Cathy-Ellen spent yesterday in the studio, with Ryan and director Tabitha, learning the elements of singing scattered throughout the show. Spine tinglingly delicious, it was!
