To Sunder- The Wellington Young Actors

We are The Young Actors, Wellington’s youngest theatre company, and we're producing an original work for New Zealand Fringe Festival!
We're are currently busy creating, fundraising, designing and marketing our show, To Sunder for March 2015.
We're aged 12-18 and we're using the New Zealand Fringe Festival as an opportunity to learn how to run a theatre company.
Our teacher Debs (Deborah Eve Rea) is mentoring us through the process.
“These students are makers, creators, producers and facilitators as well as actors. They are involved in every facet of the process. Any local actor will agree that you need an array of skills to get your work out there. These students aren’t only learning to run their own company but they are training to be the future movers and shakers of the New Zealand theatre scene- and, after seeing the innovation they’ve brought to the table, I have no doubt that they will be.”- Deborah Eve Rea.
For Fringe 2015, we have created To Sunder; a dystopian drama with more questions than answers. To Sunder takes place in a doomsday bunker built for a family of three but instead inhabited by ten teenagers. Cozy. To Sunder follows how the teens survive against the odds, each other and themselves (or not, no spoilers!).
Please help us with our fundraising efforts! All donations go to covering our production costs such as lighting, sound, costumes, set and marketing.

Thank you to everyone who has pledged! We currently stand at $1070 with less than 24 hours until the deadline. Our PledgeMe campaign comes to an end 8pm on Monday.
Although we have met our initial goal any more pledges would be helpful and if you could continue to share the link around it'd be greatly appreciated.

We are now officially in countdown mode! We only have 7 days to go and we are $100 away from target (and from being able to claim our pledges). We can so do it! We've been doing lots of rehearsals and finally have some of our team members back from visiting their families this summer. We can't wait to perform for you all. The show is really coming together- two bunks onstage, $150 left until we reach our goal, and lots of lines being memorized!
We also made the Cook Strait News this week!

Thank you to everyone who has pledged towards our play, To Sunder. We are so close to our target and it's all thanks to you! We have raised $750 towards To Sunder, which means we have 16 days to raise $250.
Lately in rehearsal we have worked on our set because we have recently moved into our venue for the show. We have recevied 1 bunk bed so far. After the show we will donate the bunk bed to the To Sunder cast's chosen charity.
Thanks again to everyone who has pledged so far, we are all incredibly grateful!

We're working really hard and had a MASSIVE 6 hour rehersal today! We also did our first ever run from the beginning of the show to the end!
