About

Keep Going North - Get Claudia Jardine Into The Studio

Project 2014-11-25 19:50:46 +1300

After 5+ years of YouTube videos and DIY bandcamp tracks, the time has finally come to get stuck in and do some proper recordings.

With the help of my manager, Jack Grabham (Southern Collective Music), I am planning a full frontal assault into the studio to record a 5 track EP of songs, written between 2010 and the present. The plan is to record in March/April and have a toasty wee CD out before the winter kicks in.

The demand for such a venture has been there for a long time now, and I'd love to reward the perseverance of friends, family, and fans who have been there from the beginning with something special that has been constructed carefully and thought out properly- like a really good eulogy.

I've been playing these songs live in venues right throughout the country (and in quiet nooks on the otherside of the world) for years now, but I'm sure they can go further. Music pervades like nothing else, and I want these songs to spread everywhere so that one day I can follow their lead. If I get my way, I'm going to chase these songs right around the world and back.

But first, these songs need to emerge from their cosy little cocoons.

In return for pledges, I will be supplying you with written appreciation and little pieces of art that have been born from this creative process.

Pledgers of over $20 can expect a hand-written thank you note & a Claudia Jardine sticker.

Pledgers of over $50 will receive a fridge magnet of the EP artwork on top of the first reward, and pledgers of over $100 will be receiving all that and a piece of home-made embrodiery containing some lyrics!

The $10,000 will be going towards production, engineering, a few days of intense studio time, mixing & mastering, and the wonderful musicians who I will be working with.

Help me wreak havoc,
Claudia Jardine (who wouldn't be anywhere near this gutsy if not for a lot of help and support- thank you all, you've done a marvellous job getting me this far)

Hey everyone, hope you've all had a lovely Christmas!

Last weekend I was fortunate enough to be up in Auckland for the national Battle of the Bands finals. It was a great weekend, with lots of bands and some stunning performances. I ended up taking home a prize for songwriting- a great way to finish off the year.

Hopefully 2015 will bring with it some more success, thank you all for your support!

Stay safe this New Year!
