Silver rides to Battle

 

Why 17, 585.1km? 

This project is part of his preparations to join Battle of the Nations Team New Zealand at the International Festival of the same name, in Poland in 2013 (www.BotNNZ.org for teamNZ info).

Silver says the main aim of the project is about undertaking a hard challenge; then being fit and combat-ready after hours in the saddle, like the knights of yore.

What"s the plan?

Currently he has managed shorter jaunts but would like to bike around the North Island of NZ, between now and February 2013 and fight any willing re-enactors. The mapped route is underway, the dates are fluid, the opponents are making ready!

Silver’s willing opponent-in-arms so far are: Charlie and Manky of the Northern Horde in Tauranga Robbo and Nic in Hamilton (*BotNNZ weekend training in Hamilton 17-19/8/12*) Martin C and James B (ASS) in Auckland Sable Hart (possibly) in Taupo Seamus of the Irish in Te Pohue Zane K may have to wait until next time, he is in the South Island but there are Vikings in New Plymouth ummm yea....... Palmerston North, Wellington, New Plymouth, Cape Reinga, home to Whangarei. Confirmation of dates, details and distances will be firmed up as the dates get closer.
