Last year (2013) I got to go to part of Webstock through work, and it was a.ma.zing. This year I missed out. I'm determined not to do so again, even though I live in a different city now (Webstock happens in Wellington, I live in Auckland).
Sadly, work doesn't have the budget to send me so I turn to you, lovely PledgeMe peeps, to help me get there. It's a chance for me to learn from the very best minds in the web business and beyond. I'm a creative person pursuing creative business, this will make me better at that.
In return, I will offer you public gushing thanks, fun stuff in the mail (who doesn't love exciting post?), or for a little more in the way of pledging, beautiful things made by my own fair hand, or stories written just for you (both of which also classify as fun stuff in the mail). Or for even more, the opportunity to see me do something really silly.
Any money pledged beyond what I need to attend the event and fund the rewards for this campaign will be donated to Women's Refuge.
If you want to know more about me, you can visit my site, A Small Aubergine.

I've been described as a punk rock crafter...here's some evidence

At one of my former jobs, a colleague of mine (and Webstock fan like myself) expressed his dislike of QR codes on a regular basis. I share that dislike, I have to say. Bad web stuff gives me hives. When I found the pattern for this, it seemed like the only valid use of a QR code. So I cross-stitched it for him. Go ahead. Scan it. You'll see.
New reward for one crazy pledge.

At the suggestion of a good friend, I've added an extra reward- the Weasley Jumper- in case someone's feeling generous/rich enough to fund this entire project.
