Death Becomes You - A Oneshot Collective Film
Project 2014-10-07 20:53:38 +1300
The Oneshot Collective is a new independent filmmaking initiative bringing together twelve filmmakers to create a collective feature-length film scheduled for completion by mid-2015. www.oneshotcollective.co.nz
DEATH BECOMES YOU : a Oneshot Collective film
SYNOPSIS: Thomas, an Angel of Death strives for the Record of Captured Souls in all Creation, when his universe is turned upside-down as he is forced to consider if there is more to life than Death.
DEATH BECOMES YOU is a drama exploring our humanistic value systems and questioning whether internal motivators are more powerful than external forces.
Written and Directed by Luke McMeeken-Ruscoe, the film is scheduled to be shot in early December in Island Bay, Wellington.
Our target funding goal is $3,500 to cover essential costs but anything raised above this amount will allow us to pay more of the cast and crew involved as well as contribute to overall costs.
Luke McMeeken-Ruscoe - Writer/Director/Producer
Luke is an emerging film maker and a graduate of the New Zealand Film school. Luke's short film Store Run was selected to be screened at the Artwalk Festival in Groß-Siegharts, Austria.
Luke has worked in various capacities on major Hollywood films, The Wolverine, The Hobbit and The Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. He is now focused on his own film making journey with another short film, Revenge, currently in post-production. This up-coming project is a great opportunity for more exposure as a film-maker as it is able to reach a wider audience.
Nils Macfarlane – Director of Photography
Nils has a strong passion of film. Nils had the privilege to direct one of the 3 end of year films for the New Zealand Film School which was shot entirely on film. After graduating from the New Zealand Film School, Nils went to Japan for a year to teach English but still managed to work on various film projects.
