Help me get to the UK! I will be singing alongside renowned crooner, Matthew Ford. A chance to dress up and belt out some classics to a sell out audience backed by brass!
Then I will travel to Perugia, Italy, to work with experts; Cabaret Artist Belle Linda Halpern, Gospel Singer Dr Phillip Woods, Filmmaker/Activist and Vocal Explorer Bentzion Goldberg among others at the 20th Reunion of the Tuscany Voice Project. There I will harness my sound and develop a cabaret character that has been emerging.
This is an amazing opportunity to continue to further my ability but also my global reach. Due to the fact it's a 20 year Reunion, talented people who wouldn't necessarily have come will make the effort, just as they did for the 30 year reunion of the Makhampom Foundation which I attended last year.
With your help, it will be amazing to be able to bring all that knowledge and experience back to NZ through performance and teaching, to the students I work with in NZ.
And please check out my possible costume ideas, at:

I've always been a performer and have of late been teaching, A LOT.
It's great to have the opportunity to perform overseas and grow a facet of my performance repertoire I haven't had enough time to develop yet - namely a Cabaret persona.
I've always sung in choirs, musicals and have worked on stage, toured educational theatre, Shakespeare and in the last few years worked more with film and television.
I'm playing one of the leads, Kathryn, in upcoming NZ feature, 'Eternity'.

Thank you sooo much to everyone who's pledged so far. It's such a gift to have friends and family support you :)
It's kind of ironic that my training to be a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist always seems to match up with what's going on in my life.
I'm in Seminar 8, and the last few days we have been working on the mandible, and a lot of the tensions we carry in the chewing muscles, which lead down the neck and affect breathing and constriction around the heart too. Amazing what you don't even realise you're carrying! So releasing around that area has been an amazing preparation for singing overseas.
Now I just have to keep the many colds and flus away from me...I have an ulcer and a cold threatening, but I won't let it take hold!
If you're able to flick through an email, facebook link, tweet to people you think may want to encourage a kiwi overseas, please do forward on. So close now!
