Below is a video of me competing in the Surf Coast Century 100km trail race in Anglesea, Australia, where I won the women's field and set a new course record.

Hi I'm Whitney. I am a competitive ultra trail runner from Dunedin. I have been racing ultra marathons for the last three years. In 2013 I competed in two 100km trail races in Australia, where I placed 1st in one of them. I was also placed 2nd in the Kepler Challenge 60km mountain run in 2013. I am very excited to see how far I can go in the sport of ultrarunning. I have an absolute passion for running in the mountains and putting my body to the test. My goal is to travel the world and take on the sport internationally.

Unfortunately, I am suffering a knee injury, which is preventing me from training and competing. It is an injury that must be fixed surgically, and sadly I do not have the funds required to cover the surgical costs. The total cost of my surgery will be $5500. I would like to raise $3000 to contribute to these costs.

Following my speedy recovery from surgery, I am planning to compete in The Tarawera 100km Ultramarathon in Rotorua in Feburary 2015, followed by the North Face 100km in the Blue Mountains National Park, Austraila in May 2015.

I would like to thank The North Face and Endura Sports Nutrition for kindly donating products for my rewards.

Hi People!

I am approaching the end of my campaign and I have just over $1000.00 to go to reach my target. The amount of people who have kindly supported me so far has been overwhelming! Please spread the word to your friends and family, who may have a few pennys to spare. I still have no contesters for the North Face 100 entry in the Blue Mountains in May next year, so your chances of getting this entry is very high!

Hey Guys!

Only 17 days to go and so far no one has gone in the draw to win the North Face 100 race entry. This means that if you do choose to go in the draw, you will have a very high chance of winning that entry! Infact, at this stage, you will have 100% chance of winning! This amazing ultramarathon race, located in the Blue Mountains near sydney is a truley rewarding experience for any level of runner. So who wants that opportunity?
