Hi, Im Michael Hewin a talented young hairdresser based in Hamilton.  I have been employed at a hair salon on Victoria Street, Fabrik, for 6 years where I have worked my way to senior stylist with mentoring from salon director Jamie Dryden.

I am super passionate about hair and have been actively involved in fashion shows & NZ fashion week (Miromoda 2011/12) and fashion shoots.  I recently gained total control of my own shoots, one in particular was selected for the NZ Industry Hair Awards for Newcomber finalist 2014, I was one of 6 young hairdressers in the country to make it.

I have also been selected to be part of the NZ Industry creative team for 2014 which involves me attending shoots, seminars & fashion shows.  Which brings me to why I am writing to you.  Our NZ Industry creative team are travelling to New York & London Fashion weeks this year.  

I feel extremely grateful to be given this opportunity to represent NZ at these shows and know that this experience will not only benefit myself but other young hairdressers that may consider me a role model.

My aim is to raise $1500 through pledgeme.co.nz towards my airfares to London Fashion Week this September.

I am an independant 21 year old and am soley relying on myself, with help from my partner & work colleages at Fabrik to make it to London.

Please can you help me achieve one of my life goals of becoming a hair stylist at London Fashion Week!
