About

Indigenous Haute Couture To The Runway

Project 2014-02-23 13:12:52 +1300

My name is Batreece (AKA Poto) Morgan a young Ngaruawahia based fashion designer making a mark in the industry. I have been invited back to the Melbourne Fashion Week March 2014 with a new collection, from last appearance in 2012. This was a successful debut of which I learnt heaps.

My unique style is the use of "Harakeke" Muka flax a native plant of New Zealand. My designs have not gone un-noticed and bought some notoriety among my peers, national & international celebrities alike. A garment was displayed in a photo shoot by Rachael Hunter in the fashion magazine Remix. In addition actor Teressa Healey purchased a garment for an International red carpet appearance. A great start for my career.

The funds I want to raise is $2,000.00 which will help with the cost of travel and accommodation at the Melbourne Fashion Week.

There are other events planned including a pre-release of my new collection in Hamilton in a fashion evening. A selection of my latest collection will be shown on the night.

We have raised $700 to to date, the balance will come from the planned events, sales, sponsorship and donations.

Sincere thanks for taking the time to view my site your pledge is acknowldged and much appreciated.

Thank you
Poto
