About

The Creative Youth Initiative

THE TEAM:

Hi, we are three young kiwis who had the opportunity to travel to Cambodia in 2012 and now have the chance to give back! Just a bit about the team - we have Alex (20), Jaimee (19) and Delia (21) who are all students in Auckland. We all have a desire to make a difference for young people in the world and we want your help!!

THE PROJECT:

The funds raised for this project will help a group of Cambodian youth to learn together, create and share together across the country by gaining computer skills and using technology devices. This will enable youth to take more control over their future, raise their voice about issues that are important to them, share important stories and experiences that raise awareness about health, child protection and education.

We think giving these young people the platform of technological communcative skills and devices will assist their unlimited potential to CHANGE their world for the better, the way THEY see best fit. For they are the ones living it and dreaming of something BIGGER!

The Creative Youth initiative works at the grassroots level, in the Youth Clubs which aim to foster a space where creativity is encouraged and valued, and youth can bridge the digital divide that exists between them and the rest of the middle class Cambodian and global youth.

This intiative is in support of WorldVision NZ & Cambodia.
