Pirate City Rollers's need your help to get to The Great Southern Slam in Adelaide!
Formed in 2006 Pirate City Rollers is the first Roller Derby league New Zealand. Pirate City Rollers are currently ranked number 1 in New Zealand. The Pirate City Roller are all about competing at a high level of Roller Derby. We wish to continue to help grow this amazing, fast paced sport in New Zealand.
The Great Southern Slam has been called the world’s biggest roller derby event! With 30 leagues from throughout New Zealand and Australia competing at the 2012 tournament in Adelaide, 2014 looks to be an even bigger and better event than ever. The tournament is a round robin style event over the course of three days, June 7-9th.
The All Scars put on a good showing at the first ever TGSS in 2010, coming fourth out of 16 leagues. In 2012 the All Scars faced tough opponents in Northern Brisbane, Brisbane City, Wollongong and Sydney, and made it to the quarter finals before finishing in a respectable eighth place.
After international bouting experience against Hawaii, VRDL’s Queen Bees, and Northern Brisbane Rollers in 2013, and taking out the NZ Derby Royale national tournament undefeated in 2013, the All Scars are aiming high for the 2014 TGSS!

North Vs South: PCR All Scars vs Dunedin Derby

The Pirate City Rollers will be kicking off their 2014 travel season with a match against one of the South Island's toughest leagues, the DD - Dunedin Derby Gallow Lasses!
The two sides have never played each other in NZ roller derby history, but that's set to change this March 29th!
The Pirate City Rollers' All Scars took out the competition at last year's National Derby Royale, where Dunedin Derby came a respectable sixth. But with three skaters from their side selected for the Team New Zealand Blood & Thunder Roller Derby World Cup training squad, along with the element of surprise, the Pirates face tough competition in the Gallow Lasses.

WHO: PCR All Scars vs Dunedin Derby Gallow Lasses
WHEN: Saturday March 29th. Doors open at 6pm, game starts at 7pm.
WHERE: YMCA Pitt Street, Auckland.
TICKETS: $10+bf online at Under the Radar, $15 on the door. Children under 12 - gold coin donation.
Battle for Pride

{irate City Rollers are proud to host a charity match for Rainbow Youth during the Auckland Pride Festival, Saturday, February 15th.
The roller derby community has a long history of queer celebration and support, and the Pirate City Rollers are proud to team up with Pride to hold this game.
They'll take on Vagine Regime Aotearoa, New Zealand's team of elite LGBT skaters. Vagine Regime are make up of a stellar group of skaters from throughout the country, including Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Palmerston North.
A portion of the proceeds for this match will go to Rainbow Youth, an Auckland-based organisation providing support, information, advocacy and education for queer and trans* young people (aged between 13 and 28), their friends and whānau, and those who work with queer and trans* youth..
