About

Community Theatre Collaboration

Project 2014-01-27 19:12:33 +1300

Marlborough Repertory is excited to be presenting a community based theatre production, Anne Boleyn by Howard Brenton, being the first of it's plays for 2014. Anne Boleyn is an engrossing and hightly entertaining storyline as Anne plots to make England Protestant forever.

We are excited to be collaborating with the creative talents of local lad Sam Logan, a young music graduate who is writing an original composition, especially for this production.

Sam will be composing and producing an original score drawing elements from the renaissance period and incorporating these in a more contemporary soundtrack. To hear some of Sam’s works please visit: https://soundcloud.com/sjmlogan or listen below:

The production has begun rehersals at the Boathouse Theatre with a large cast of 35 talented local actors, along with a highly skilled backstage crew, all giving their time and expertise for free, to bring an exciting piece of theatre to Marlborough audiences. As part of this production it is necesary for us to hire the lavish Tudor period costumes. This is where we need your  support to help us to boast the shortfall needed to contribute towards Sam's original score, the directors fee, and the costume hire.

Please help to make this Boathouse Theatre production a collaborative community success.
