Flicker is an indie film about a man who is lost within his own dreams.


Storyline

Have you ever woken from a bizarre dream, and felt relieved to be awake, only to find that you are in fact still asleep?

And in this strange place where nothing is real and where anything can happen, have you ever wondered what would have happened if you had stayed within that moment just a little longer? Flicker follows one such dream where our lead role finds himself caught in that world, pursued relentlessly across constantly changing dream-scapes by a force of the most sinister kind.


The Team

Writer/Director: Matthew Souden
No previous films that have been made public, and no formal qualifications, Souden has been studying film, and film techniques in his own time for the last 5 years, and been writing stories for himself even longer.

Main Role: Malcolm Constable-Brown


Most other roles are filled by volunteers with varying degrees of experience within the movie industry. Some have zero experience while others have a fair amount. Assistance is also coming from other Directors both within New Zealand, and around the world who are talking with us on a daily basis and in cases with some of the NZ directors, have volunteered to assist on set as and where they can.

The film will have close to 30 individual people appear in it and take advantage of local and regional talent such as musicians, actors, community groups and various others that have agreed to appear in the film. It will be utilizing the beautiful scenery throughout Otago and the lower South Island. 



Once we have finished filming, we hope to approach various distributors to see if we can get this film out onto the world stage.
