About

A Certificate In Fantastic - Help Belle Get Qualified!

Project 2013-12-11 23:20:40 +1300

Well, hi there!

Today I got brilliant news - I have been accepted into a course that I desperately wanted to do. This course is the Certificate in Live Sound and Event Production at Whitireia's Porirua Campus. My friends and family know exactly how important this course is to me. They've been hearing about nothing else since I applied. This course will allow me to leave behind the oh so droll world of 9 to 5 administration and marketing (kill me) to join the world of the artistic, the exciting, the rock 'n' roll children of the new age and become an audio engineer in the entertainment industry. HUZZAH! Here, indulge your mind for a moment if you so please.

Unfortunately, with a course this exceptional there comes a rather obvious catch; The cost.

I have applied for a student loan with no problems. However, I am not eligible for student allowance due to my living circumstances, yet my parents are unable to support me - A tricky and somewhat confusing situation. This course is full time with extra hours for gigs and events, so a consistent part time job would be very difficult although I will try.

"So what do you want from me?" you may ask, sceptical but willing.

Well, my dearest chums, acquaintances, thespian pals and otherwise complete strangers, I ask for you to find it in your hearts and wallets to help me with my course costs. These are as follows:

$5,527 - Course fee

$1,200 - New computer to work from that actually runs the equipment I need, as all of my third-hand computers have either exploded or been peed on beyond salvation by my cats. Trust me, I've tried and tried again to get these fixed. They're boned. They weren't much good to start off with, either.

The more of this I can cover, the easier it will be to survive on more than tinned baskhetti and toast, which are both high in carbs and not overall the best thing for a young lass like myself.

I would like to thank you in advance for any assistance you can give me, whether it be financial, spreading the word, buying me lunch when I haven't eaten in two days or donating equipment, software and books that might be helpful to me.

Thank you again,

Belle Harrison
