Help Katie Get To World Champs And The USA

Hi - my name is Katie McKenty, I currently live with my parents in Devonport, and I've just graduated from Takapuna Grammar School. I've been playing water polo for about 9 years now - it's my main passion in life, and I'm stoked to say I've just been asked to represent New Zealand in the World Water Polo championships in Spain in August 2014. We're having lead up matches in Hungary. This is a huge honour and I'm really excited to be a part of it - unfortunately in order to be involved I have to pay my own way (and I'm a poor 18 year old). I've also been offered a water polo scholarship at Hartwick College in USA to study and play for 4 years - it would be an incredible opportunity for me to take up, I just need to raise the money to pay my flights over. I'd like to set this fundraising page up to help me raise the cash needed to both A) get to me to the World Water Polo championships in August next year, and B) to pay for my flights to Hartwick College in New York - so that I can play and learn more about water polo with some of the best up-and-coming players in the world. I have done other fundraising such as phone book delieveries, wine sales, raffle sales and as a team we ran a u12 water polo competition. I am looking for $1k to help me do this - and I'll include a detailed breakdown of exactly what I'll use the money for in the description here.
