Along The Avon - Film
Project 2013-11-02 03:08:53 +1300
My first film, Town Like - The Christchurch Music Scene Post-Quake , was created for a Year 13 Media Studies project and has been quite successful, appearing in The Press and on the New Zealand Musician Magazine's website. It has received good reviews from the likes of When A City Falls documentary maker Gerard Smyth and has also been a finalist for the Inspiring Stories Film Awards in two categories. Because of this success I am doing another film project. This new film will be directed, shot and produced by myself, and will explore the disappearing community of Christchurch's red-zoned eastern suburbs post-earthquake and the effects the earthquake had on the citizens of this area. Part of the $2000 goal will go towards funding the camera equipment necessary to make the film, as I will not have access to the gear I used to make Town Like Here. Other costs will include direct film-related costs and paying the musicians for using their music in the film. Some of you may be aware I have a camera now. This is because I have got it on a loan from my parents which I am hoping to pay back through this campaign. However, the most important part of this film is the fact that it gives me the freedom to pay musicians for using their music and fund other parts of the film. Even a $5 donation will go far towards this project, so donate whatever you like, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank-you.
Costs:
$1,000 towards camera equipment
$840 towards making the film, paying musicians for music etc.
$160 goes to PledgeMe costs
Thank-you for donating to my project. I am very thankful for your support.
