Kylie Price - Debut EP

Project 2013-10-06 23:49:00 +1300

Kylie Price has no doubt that her future will revolve around music.

Since winning the 2012 NZ Gold Guitar Overall Award and being named as a NZ Horizon Award Finalist there has been no looking back for this 20-year-old Otago University music student.

2013 has seen Kylie attend the Tamworth Country Music Festival where she brought home theAristocrat Overall Entertainer Of The Year prize and CCMA Overall Award. She followed this up by winning the 2013 Trans-Tasman Entertainer Of The Year Award in Norfolk Island and, as a result of her success, was invited to perform at the internationally renowned Gympie Muster Festival in Australia.

Kylie’s spine tingling live performances have produced opportunities to be the opening act for such illustrious artists as the The Hollies, Juice Newton and Hank Marvin. Kylie can also now happily announce that she is preparing to sing the Australian national anthem at the All Blacks vs Wallabies Bledisloe Cup match in Dunedin on the 19th of October and she will be opening for Air Supply’s Christchurch concert in December 2013.

Recently accepted into Australia’s College of Country Music in Tamworth, Kylie will undertake studies at the college starting in January. In the meantime she begins the process of consolidating her own original material that will be recorded and produced as an E.P for highly anticipated release in 2014.

Debut EP

Kylie has the opportunity to work with award winning Jeff McCormack (Catherine Britt, Becky Cole, Troy Cassar-Daleyand producer Bill Chambers (Kasey Chambers, Dead Ringer Band, Catherine Britt) at his studio in Australia, in December 2013.

Kylie has an array of beautifully crafted songs and would like to start out by recording an EP of 6 songs. This will be the first of many recordings to come and is an important step in getting her music out to the world.

Every dollar raised will go towards the the recording of the EP, pressing and promotion.

This includes:

  • Producer Fee
  • Engineer Fee
  • Studio Fee
  • Mixing
  • Mastering
  • Session Musicians
  • Flights
  • Accommodation
  • Graphic Design
  • Photography
  • Manufacturing
  • PledgeMe Fee

We need $18,000NZD but the aim is to raise $15,000 NZD - if we manage to go over (wouldn't that be SWEET!) then that will go towards promotion of the EP....you know music video, online marketing, tours.....

This project is on a timeframe - Kylie wants the CDs in her hot little hands in time to take to Tamworth 2014. This will not be possible without your help.

Please share on Facebook, Twitter, Google +

Tell your neighbour, boss, mum, dad, brother, sister, ex-boyfriends new girlfriend, your cat or your pet frog.........we've gotta spread the word and make this happen!
