Eye - A Piece Of Dance Theatre
Project 2013-09-17 02:27:00 +1200
eye is a piece of dance theatre. This solo performance, created and performed by Luke Hanna, will premiere in the Wellington Fringe Festival 2014.
Luke has recently been invited to perform an excerpt at the Tempo Dance Festival in Auckland on 16th and 17th of October. In order to get there and make this happen we need some help from you. This is an opportunity to support an emerging choreographer to perform his debut solo in a professional festival.
This piece explores the interface between an individual and a world. How do we meet? Where do we meet? Do we see the same? How do you see me? Luke delves into the cracks between the truths of this unknown space.
Luke Hanna has danced with New Zealand and Australia’s top dance companies and choreographers, including Australian Dance Theatre, Dance North and Black Grace. eye sees Luke explore the role of choreographer to develop a concept that inspired him whilst working with Bui Ngoc Quan in Brussels earlier this year. Luke has teamed up with composer and sound artist Jason Wright and his sister and sometimes producer Fran Olds to bring this raw, fresh piece of dance to life... and with your support to the audiences of the Tempo Festival.
We appreciate any support you can offer!
