FINAL FASHION COLLECTION

Hi my name is Amy Berthelsen, 

I am 21 Years old and having a design degree has been a chosen path of mine, 

since I was a little girl, a dream that one day I would be working with 

clothes and a photographer. 

This final collection for my Bachelor of Design (Fashion) at Otago Polytechnic, 

this is everything that I have learned through my 4years studying and work experience. 

My Collection is based around 1920’s life style brought in to a modern culture. Using a variety of techniques such as drape and tailoring, along with fringe trimmings and sequins I aim to give my collection a glamorous wow factor, recreating not just what it would be like to be in the 1920’s, but to dream the 1920’s, making everything that bit more extravagant, unimaginable and feel how great it would be to party all night. 

A budget of $5000, to purchase fabrics, printing costs, footwear, 

and a photographer to shoot my look book and models.

Your best work is your true expression of yourself. You can only move forward by making mistakes. Now, you may not be the greatest at it, but when you do it, you’re the only expert. Designing is not a career path it is a life path, one that I have chosen to engage in and to spend the rest of my life creating.
