A Moment Of Your Time - Historical Documentary Series.
Project 2013-08-15 19:44:13 +1200
A Moment of Your Time is a series of "bite size" historical documentaries featuring some of the fascinating stories of southern New Zealand's historic places. Each segment examines a single site and its contribution to southern heritage.
It is hoped that this series may become a useful tool to encourage councils, businesses, developers and individuals to engage with and preserve our heritage for future generations.
With the help of PledgeMe we hope to put together a package of eight television segments, each running 2-5 minutes, to offer to local TV stations as "time fillers", and to museums and schools through out Southland and Otago. This will then hopefully leave us open to do other parts of New Zealand and be well on our way to doing a second season and beyond!
Here is just a taste of what you can look forward to.

About Us
Marolyn Diver – narrator
Marolyn is an author and publisher of non-fiction early New Zealand history specialising in Southland and Otago. She is of Ngai Tahu and Irish descent and has previously worked as a freelance researcher for TV3 and has years of experience behind the scenes in both film and theatre.
David Dudfield – producer
David is a museum curator, archaeologist, and filmmaker with a passion for the history of southern New Zealand. His museum work includes producing short exhibition documentaries and AV presentations.
What the pledges are going towards.
We are doing this for the love of history - so won't be paying ourselves to produce this project. We have already enticed local television station CUE TV to play the series - but with them, and in most cases with local stations, they need their costs covered for the airtime.
The list below is where all the money will be spent.
- $800-$1000 on station airtime.
- $200 Production expenses (petrol, equipment..etc..)
- $350 Book publication.
- $100 DVD production.
- Promotions.
We aim to have all eight episodes in the can within eight months.
