FIVB Volleyball Worlds Qualification
Project 2013-08-12 12:06:17 +1200
The New Zealand Men's Senior Volleyball Team has qualified to play in the second round of the FIVB World Championships in Komaki, Japan. This is the biggest tournament New Zealand has ever had a chance to play in. However, this is a completely player-funded tournament as Volleyball is an amateur sport in New Zealand.
I am an established member of the New Zealand Men's Volleyball Team and have been selected to play at this tournament.
I am currently traveling Europe in an attempt to break into a professional league and have put all of my savings into turning this dream into a reality. However, I could not pass up the opportunity to play in this tournament and have had to dip into my travel account to buy a return flight from Paris, France. This flight, along with player fees comes to around $1600 and I am hoping to recover $1500 from this pledgeme campaign. The reason I decided to run a pledgeme campaign is to recoup my costs of playing this tournament so that representing New Zealand does not have a negative impact on pursuing my dream of playing volleyball professionally.
My goal from my European trip is purely to find a club that will cover my living costs so that I can do what I love, play volleyball. If I am fortunate enough to raise more money than my target, it will go towards my travel expenses while I pursue my dream.
I have started a blog about my volleyball pursuits and my travel adventures along the way. Find the link below detailing my journey.

New Reward: Volleyball Mobility Manual
22/08/2013 at 1:52 PM
New reward targeting at any volleyball players out there that want to improve their game through expert functional mobility training.
Bede Jeffries, my friend and personal trainer has offered to construct a Volleyball Mobility Manual for any serious volleyball player out there that wants to work on their functional mobility, helping to prevent unnecessary injuries and increasing flexibility. I used this stuff before every training and game and has helped me immensely.
Highly recommended program!
