My name is Kyle Born
I am 5 years old and live in Pennsylvania, USA. I have been invited by the NZ online Junior & Mini motox magazine ‘MX Antix’ to race with their team of 2 other mini riders at the 2013 NZ Mini Motox Nationals in Auckland, early November.
I began riding a PW 50 at the age of 2 and raced my first race 5 days after turning 4 years old. I have posted 50 results since I started racing with a 5th place average. I was placed 7th overall in the Loretta Lynn’s Regional, missing the qualifier by 2 spots. At 4 years old, I was placed 2nd in the Delaware State Championship and 3rd in the Maryland State Championship. I currently ride a KTM Mini 50 and we will need to get a bike in NZ for me to race while I am there.
Being asked to represent the USA and ride in New Zealand against some of your best mini riders is a privilege & honor for me. My family would be forever grateful for any assistance in helping them raise the funds needed to get me to New Zealand.
Motox in NZ Motox is a rapidly growing sport across all ages in NZ due to the success of riders like World Champions Ben Townley & womens rider Katherine Prumm. Every weekend there are thousands of kids all over the country racing on tracks at Clubs or on their own property, chasing their dream to be like Ben or Katherine. The 2013 NZ Mini Motox Nationals will be held at Waitoki, just outside of Auckland where around 200 riders aged between 4 - 11 years will come to compete in the hope of being crowned one of NZ’s Mini MX Champions.
We at the MX Antix Magazine have the opportunity to have young American Kyle Born race for their motox team at the 2013 NZ Mini MX Nationals being held in Auckland early November. Kyle & his family are fundraising in their hometown so they can cover the airfares and expenses while here - we would like to help them achieve their goal. In return for pledging to their cause, we have some sponsors products up for grabs.
