The Sleeping Dreamers EP
Project 2013-05-14 02:30:24 +1200
The Sleeping Dreamers is fronted by Leo Canvas, aka Rhyn. He is well known in the Auckland scene for launching many open mics such as Ivory Lounge, Crib Bar, Shadows Tavern, The Lumsden and training the guys who run the open mic at Juice Bar. He is also known for hosting other events such as the Night Markets, a number of songwriter competitions and under the trading as name of Singer/Songwriter Syndicate he has built up a reputation as someone who puts a lot of energy into helping other musicians.Have a Producer coming from Europe, Swap Gomez (Smashproof, Jordan Luck and many others) down for the Drums, Guitar Guru - Richie Allan (Heavy Metal Ninjas) is also going to feature! I'm sick of throwing pebbles into the pool of NZMusic this time, I'm going to throw a spanner in! Please show some support guys, you don't know how much it means.
The Syndicate has now changed hands into www.nzmusic.net and following a sharp down turn in his health Leo is now taking a relaxed approach to life while he gets his body back into shape.
He has been writing a number of new songs while living in Mangakino and is looking to record a 6 song EP around August. This pledge is set up to help him collect funding to use for recording and to produce a video to follow.
Unconfirmed yet, but the recording is likely to be done at York Street Studios when his producer and good friend returns to New Zealand in July.
