My name is Rosie Roulette. I am 19 years old and have been singing all my life and writing songs since about the age of 12. I have my ATCL performance diploma in Speech and Drama with Trinity College and am currently second year studying at NASDA (National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts) at CPIT in Christchurch.
 
I am a Shakespeare enthusiast. He is a big inspiration in my life and that is evident in some of my song writing, for example my song ‘Romeo’, which will feature on my album and has already been recorded. It compares my experiences with Juliet’s plight of waiting for her Romeo, for romance, to come along and steal her away. Similarly with others of my songs like ‘Oh Ophelia’, the feelings of betrayal, madness and desire for escape, experienced by Ophelia are depicted.
 
I also have many other songs that I have accumulated in my little songbook over the years, which depict a whole range of experiences that I think a lot of teenagers, regardless of gender, and anyone who has been a teenager can relate to. Love, loss, depression and triumph to name a few. I ultimately want to share myself and my love of music through this album.
