Operation Underground

Operation Underground is a not-for-profit organization that's here to help raise awareness for independent New Zealand artists and songwriters.
We want to make a momentous 26-track collaborative album working with over 30 awesome musicians from all around the country and featuring a different singer on each song.
Our aim is showcase and introduce each artist involved to new listeners, all the while generating stronger demand for the amazing work they create. We hope that every New Zealand music lover will discover a new range of bands to support and enjoy, keeping this country's music local and proud.
The songs have been written, the recording studio is booked for late July and the contributing artists are ready to go. The final piece to the puzzle is the recording budget... and thanks to some very generous mate's rates we have managed to strip it back to an extremely reasonable $5000 where a project this size could usually be expected to cost $20,000... at least!!!
So the power is now in your hands. We are one small step away from creating something totally unique and special for both music lover and musicians. This venture is the first of it's kind, please help make it happen, donate to this cause today.

A huge thank you - 10% there!

This video pretty much says it all - a huge thank you to all those who have donated so far, bringing our total to $610 and over 10% of the final target. Each and everyone of your efforts is going towards New Zealand artists and our mission of pushing independent music. This album is going to happen and it will be truly special... Happy to announce that we're working on a number of other awesome events & comps right now to promote NZ music, all of which are available to you for free so 'like' this page to stay in that loop: www.facebook.com/OperationUndergroundNZ
There's round 50 days left to reach the total of $5000. Let's all grab a rope and help haul this thing into action.
If you have pledged, you are amazing - if you have not please consider doing so (even a little bit helps). The main aim is to SPREAD THE WORD! Why not tell all your friends, workmates, families, neighbors, to consider pitching in - this is a project designed for everybody to benefit from so lets make it all of our mission to encourage people's help!
