Impassionate - New Works

Project 2013-04-25 03:56:00 +1200

Help send an artist to New Zealand's first illustration and comic arts convention - Chromacon! - and go in the draw to win an original painting.

Usually I exhibit large scale paintings in galleries, but Chromacon has created an exciting opportunity for me to mingle with the illustration crowd. I’m going to be displaying some of my larger works from the 2012 exhibition 'Impassionate Gods' at Chromacon, but will also create a series of smaller paintings and print materials (postcards and badges) specifically for this event that will be available for purchase.

Your contribution will cover the costs of creating and framing 3 or more new paintings, the costs of exhibiting, and making the merchandise.

About Me

I am a contemporary painter and have been exhibiting across the country since 2006. I won the Glaistor Ennor award in 2006 and the Mazda Emerging Artist Award for student work in 2008. My work has been featured in the New Zealand Herald and even a Westfields ad. If you eat out in Auckland a lot, you may have seen one of my paintings hanging in one of a number of cafes and restaurants. If not, you can see them all at www.myahflynn.com.

As a thank you, if I make it to $500 I'm going to raffle off a fairly decent sized little work (600x400mm) from my 2012 collection. 'The Unraveling Sky', pictured below.
