Kia Ora!
We are the Harmonic Resonators: an acoustic country folk band living in Tauranga Moana and Kirikiriroa, with a love for old school waiata. We’re very stunned to have ‘gone viral’ on the internet with our little DIY lounge videos, and have had such an amazing journey thus far playing at Marae, festivals and parties.
Pre-order our album by choosing one of the rewards to the right of this screen (you will need to sign up to Pledge Me to purchase). There’s no limit to the number of times you can pledge, so if you need more than one copy, go for it! If you want to send us a koha, choose the ‘no reward’ option and enter the amount you want to give. We appreciate your support!
You might have seen our videos on Facebook, or heard us on Radio New Zealand.
We’re stoked to be a family show, with roots in the Morrinsville Country Music Club: Jeremy Hantler, Renny “the Granddaddy of Country Music” Hantler, Sharon “Aunty” McIntyre, Ryan “The Guv’nor” Monaghan, Ryan “Mr Mac” McIntyre, and our special guest Jenny “the Matriarch” Hantler.
Look out whanau...
Now we’re super excited to be heading into RedRoom Studios to lay down an album full of our favourite bangers, so that we can pass on the joy of these beautiful taonga, and you can enjoy a front row seat from your living room.
Our mission for this project is to:
1. create an album that all New Zealanders can love;
2. shine a spotlight on folk music that our young people can come home to;
3. encourage people to make music with their whanau as an uplifting and enriching experience for every generation involved.
We are starting the recording process this Labour Weekend 2019, and aiming to have the album mixed, mastered and printed in time to get one to nana or your nephew for Christmas.
Alright here we go
The funds raised via Pledge Me will go towards the costs of recording, mixing, mastering, designing and printing a full length album. We are therefore hoping to raise $15,000 through this campaign, to cover the following:
- recording ($2,645)
- mixing ($575)
- mastering ($2,392)
- design, replication and printing ($5,388)
- royalties via APRA ($600)
- postage ($2,500)
- PledgeMe fees ($916)
If we exceed our goal we will put the extra funds towards printing more copies (we’re only planning to print 700 at this stage). If you can’t spare the cash, get along to one of our gigs and give us a high five!
Resonators run on positive reinforcement
Big ups to all the composers, players and appreciators of this music, and supporters of our kaupapa. Keep up with our antics on social media, send us some appreciation, and we’ll see you at a gig soon!
